Mrs Mildred Tan

Mildred Tan is the former Managing Director of Ernst & Young Advisory Pte. Ltd. and Head of EY’s Government and Public Sector practice in ASEAN. With over 25 years of experience in organizational development and restructuring work, she is well-known in Singapore for leading client engagements in the area of strategic visioning and organizational restructuring, performance management systems, human resources, and strategic and development initiatives. She has been instrumental in designing many change interventions including communications, workshops and leadership development programs.
Active in community work, Mildred currently chairs National Volunteer and Philanthropy Centre and PSD International Advisory Panel (Prime Minister's Office), and was Chairperson of the Diversity Task Force (Ministry of Social and Family Development). She is a board member of Esplanade Co Ltd, Media Development Authority of Singapore and Lee Kuan Yew Fund for Bilingualism (Ministry of Education) and the Community Foundation of Singapore. She is also a member of the Monetary Authority of Singapore Appeal Advisory Panel, Centre for Non-profit Leadership and Gardens by the Bay. Mildred was conferred Justice of the Peace in 2008 and was awarded the PBM (Public Service Medal) in 2007 as well as the BBM (Public Service Star) award in 2014. She was nominated Member of Parliament in Singapore from 2009 to 2011.
A graduate member of the British Psychology Society, Mildred completed the postgraduate Master in Education from Sheffield University and the Human Resource Executive Program from Cornell University.
